Dr. Simranjit Singh is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Punjabi University, Patiala, Punjab, India and as Head of Simran's research group. He did his B.Tech (Electronics and Communication Engineering) from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana, Punjab, India in 2008. He completed his M.E. from Thapar University, Patiala, Punjab, India in 2010. In 2014 Dr. Singh completed his Ph.D from Thapar University, Patiala, Punjab, India. Dr. Singh worked as Postdoc Associate in The Institute of Optics, University of Rochester, Rochester, NY, USA, under the supervision of Prof. Govind P. Agrawal. He had been awarded by Raman fellowship of UGC in 2016.  Dr. Singh has visited University of Toronto (Ontario, Canada), University of Rochester (USA), University of Miami (USA), University of California (Davis, USA), NAtional University of Malaysia (Malaysia), CSIO-CSIR (Chandigarh), IIT Ropar and IIT Kanpur for research collaborations. Dr. Singh has professional Memberships of IEEE and Punjab Science Academy. Under Simran's Research Group, the project of around Rs. 1.6 Crore is going on.
